Essex Home Media Walls

Media wall questions, answered.

Answers to common questions about media wall design, existing TVs, fires, storage, quotations, installation preparation and service coverage.

Can a media wall be designed around my existing television?

Yes. Include your television’s model number and screen size with your enquiry. The recess, bracket position, ventilation and access to connections need to suit the actual set, as well as the way you sit in the room.

Do I have to include an electric fire?

No. A TV feature wall can combine concealed cables, panelling, shelving and cupboards without a fire. This can leave more room for storage or keep the television at a comfortable viewing height.

What should I send for a quotation?

Use the enquiry form to send photographs of the whole wall and surrounding room, your address, your preferred design and any approximate measurements you already have. Tell us which TV, fire, lighting and storage options you want included. Site measurements are confirmed before a design is built.

How long does installation take?

The programme depends on the size, finish and services involved. Building the structure, electrical work, plaster drying, decoration and fitting can require different stages. Ask for the programme for your particular design before booking; we do not publish a single duration for every wall.

Where do you work?

We work throughout Essex, including Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock. We also cover Havering, Woodford, South Woodford and Woodford Green, plus nearby North Kent areas around the Dartford Crossing. Our areas directory sets out the coverage without implying service across all of Kent.

What will my quotation include?

Your written quotation should identify the agreed design, construction, finish, lighting, storage and electrical scope, plus whether appliances and TV mounting are included. The total price, VAT position, payment arrangements and any exclusions should be confirmed before you accept.

Can I hide a games console or router in a cupboard?

Often, but ventilation, wireless signal, remote operation and cable access need to be considered. Tell us the equipment you use so the cupboard is designed around it rather than treating it as ordinary storage.

Will I need to decorate afterwards?

Decoration is a scope item to agree in the quotation. Ask whether the price includes a finished painted surface or whether you need to arrange decoration separately, and allow for the drying requirements of the specified materials.

Can you copy a design from a photograph?

A reference image is a useful starting point. The design still needs to be adapted to your wall dimensions, screen, appliance requirements and room layout. Send the images you like and explain which details appeal to you.

Can I see work completed near me?

Ask us about relevant local examples. Our gallery currently identifies the visible design features; we only add a project location when it has been confirmed, and we do not publish customers’ precise addresses.
