Check the drawings and dimensions
Make sure the quotes refer to the same wall width, depth, screen position, niches and cupboards. A broad written description can hide substantial differences in construction.
Identify supply and installation separately
Confirm whether the fire, bracket, lighting fittings and other appliances are supplied within the customer price. Then confirm whether fitting and any associated electrical work are included.
Read the finish and completion scope
Plastering, drying, paintwork, making good, floor protection and waste removal should be clear. A wall ready for decoration and a finished painted wall are different offers.
Confirm the commercial details
Ask for the total price and VAT presentation, payment schedule, programme, exclusions, change process and aftercare or warranty terms. Keep these with the accepted quotation so everyone is working to the same agreement.
